Having a solid work ethic is a key tenet in the corporate world. However, implementing the above tenets is easier said than done. David Eghbali believes that a good work ethic can have a huge impact in any organization. A good work ethic is a product of healthy habits. Therefore, it is essential to use the minimum resources possible, mesmerize the client by going the extra mile, and provide lasting solutions cost-effectively. Identifying the incompetent employees that waste the company’s resources, waste time, and deliver poor results is very easy.

A disciplined employee knows that the ability to meet deadlines is extremely crucial in the corporate world. According to David Eghbali, clients expect employees to keep their word and deliver on their promises. Apparently, it takes commitment and determination to finish the daily tasks. David Eghbali further notes that while challenges may occur along the way, using time wisely staying focused on the stipulated goals is a sure way to achieve these milestones. David added that employees should know that any delays could cause the clients to lose money. Therefore, the workers should dedicate their time to their projects and communicate with customers often to stay on the right track and avoid surprises.

David Eghbali acknowledges that the best way to have a good work ethic is to become more persistent. If employees burn out after a short time, and cannot focus on a particular task for a while, then they are not persistent enough. Fortunately, these employees can get inspiration from the professional athletes. Athletes learn how to build endurance by doing more rigorous exercises for extended periods of time. Also, David Eghbali suggests that balancing the duration of strenuous work with intermittent periods of rest is vital. For instance, working for twelve hours without rest is not as effective as resting for thirty minutes after every two hours. David Eghbali cites that by including some fun activities in their training regimen, workers will also enjoy their jobs.

A problem known is half solved, and according to David Eghbali, the key to conquering my weaknesses is to acknowledge them. It is vital for workers to find out how long they can work before they burn out by determining how long they can do quality work effectively. Once they determine how long they can work efficiently, employees can take the right steps toward self-improvement. By working overtime on the first day, they can carry out some lighter tasks afterward. David Eghbali noted that a car that travels at 60 mph for an hour could cover more ground than a similar car traveling at 10 mph for 5 hours. If workers move too slowly for a long time, they will expend more energy compared to a person who works diligently for a shorter duration.

David Eghbali believes that employees should create custom schedules of work before they embark on their jobs. It is important to be loyal to their programs by ensuring that they do not rest or allow any distractions during this time. As they practice this new strategy, David Eghbali recommends using the first 30 minutes to build up the concentration and accelerate the work rate in the last thirty minutes. The best strategy to avoid distractions is to identify a quiet place and turn off any electronic devices that may divide my attention. Besides, they must avoid answering their phones, attending to visitors, or chatting on social media during this time.

#Avoiding procrastination

Procrastination is a thief of time. Even if they are am tempted to shelf a particular activity for a while and embark on the task later, David Eghbali notes that the “do it now” mindset must win over the “maybe later” frame of mind. Even if the task is tough, they should understand that the job is neither hard or easy, but something that must be done. If they have a series of breaks in their schedules, they will not think of how hard it is, but will find a way to have fun in the process. David Eghbali noted that mixing business with pleasure in the to-do list is the best weapon against procrastination.


The secret is to learn how to get things done properly. Obviously, sloppy work is not acceptable. David Eghbali noted that even if they finished their tasks on time, their efforts would not count if they did not meet the requirements of the brief. If they begin their projects without a clear set of objectives, they might get bogged down and end up focusing on the wrong things. Ultimately, they must understand what the client wants, visualize the finished product from the start, and break down the entire job into a series of achievable milestones. David Eghbali recommends asking as many questions as possible to clarify every detail and eliminate the gray areas before workers allocate their time and resources to their projects. It is pivotal to ask the client to put everything in writing to ensure that we are reading from the same script from the onset.
